SAIC Awarded Seaport-e Task Order by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division

Company to Provide Systems Engineering and Training Analysis Support Services to Center for Surface Combat Systems

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a follow-on Seaport-e task order by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division to provide systems engineering and training analysis services to the Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS). The single-award, Seaport-e task order, has a one year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total value of more than $80 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed at CSCS Headquarters in Dahlgren, Va., and at other CSCS Elements and Detachments.

CSCS trains Sailors to achieve operational excellence by preparing and qualifying them to correctly maintain, operate and employ surface ship weapon and combat systems while conducting sustained combat operations at sea. The center trains approximately 45,000 students each year. Under the task order, SAIC will provide systems engineering and training services to CSCS and the Aegis Training and Readiness Center in areas including manpower and personnel; infrastructure; training management; and technical and international programs. SAIC will also review training requirements for emerging and current combat systems, and provide recommended updates to curriculum and facilities as needed.

"We look forward to continuing our support of CSCS as they provide vital training to Navy personnel critical to the operation and maintenance of Navy surface combat and weapons systems," said Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit manager.
