Bental showcases Range of Motion and Power Solutions for UAVs and AFVs at Eurosatory 2010 Bental Industries, a world leader of high quality, field proven electric motion and power systems, will feature its line of advanced products including the venerable MicroBat, a stabilized payload system for UAVs, at this year’s Eurosatory, Israel Pavilion, booth D-770. Bental’s solutions are characterized by particularly wide ratios of high power to low weight as well as boast a battle proven track record of extreme ruggedness and innovative design. The company offers electric motion and power technologies that include stabilized gimbal systems, brush and brushless motors, blowers & dust scavengers, permanent magnet generators, electronic drivers and controllers, servo actuators and more, to military and industrial clients worldwide. Bental’s products are integrated and customized on a wide variety of air, land, and marine platforms. At this year’s Eurosatory show, Bental will present the following systems: UAV Solutions Starter Generator Bental's G032 Starter Generator is part of the company's newest line of unified starter generators. Comprised of a low weight starter/generator, GCU (Generator Control Unit), and drive control for the starter mode unit, these generators start a UAV's main engine then provide power to the rest of the systems including the battery. This operationally proven product has been successfully sold to a variety of clients worldwide. MicroBat 275 Intended for integration on a variety of air, land, and sea platforms, MicroBAT 275 is an operational system installed onboard different types of air (including UAVs), land, and marine platforms. Claimed the world’s smallest and most compact stabilized payload system for mini and micro UAVs, including VTOL, MicroBAT meets the complex and evolving challenges of surveillance, reconnaissance, and observation missions. Designed currently for day operation, this rugged, light, and powerful stabilized system seamlessly integrates its camera to enable precise control of zoom, shutter, and focus from the air or by ground operators. Motion and power solutions for AFVs Motors for Gun and Turret Drive Systems B-075/095 - Permanent magnet DC brushless type servomotors, providing high torque with high velocity accuracy. Designed for long life and high reliability, these motors meet MIL standards, are totally sealed, and ensure long-life operation in harsh environmental conditions. These systems can be seen in the Merkava IV display at the show as well as at interactive stations. Overhead Weapon Station Motor B-042 - permanent magnet brushless servomotor is designed to meet MIL standards for high reliability and velocity accuracy. The B-042 is compact and light weight, yet provides high torque. - This product can be seen in the Merkava IV display at the show as well as at interactive stations. Limited Angle Torque Motors Toroidally wound motors on a slotless stator for low friction and low hysteresis losses necessary for accurate control systems. High quality Samarium Cobalt magnets are incorporated for maximum performance. Windings are encapsulated for cool running, are virtually noiseless, and offer no cogging. These products can be seen in the Merkava IV display at the show as well as at interactive stations. Air-Conditioning & NBC Blowers A-045 Blower - Based on high energy Samarium Cobalt magnet technology, the blower is capable of operating in harsh environmental conditions and features extra long life. The blower includes EMI/RFI filtering and meets strict MIL standards. This product can be seen in the Merkava IV display at the show as well as at interactive stations. Main Engine Dust Scavenger B-071 Dust scavenger - A filtration system with electronic drive unit, it is capable of operating in harsh environmental conditions featuring extra long life. The blower and drive units include EMI/RFI filtering and meet strict MIL standards. The main dust Scavenger is responsible for extracting dust and small particles from the air filter of the main diesel engine. This product can be seen in the Merkava IV display at the show as well as at interactive stations. Servo Actuators presented at the show Rotary Servo Actuators RSA 03-022 and RSA-06 - High performance, low-weight, compact servo actuators, designed to meet aviation & MIL standards. Used mainly for flap control onboard UAVs, the 28Vdc RSA includes a permanent magnet brushless servomotor, reduction gear, feedback sensor on output shaft, electronic servo control, and amplifier, all packed inside a low-weight compact aluminum case.
